Juice Recipes For Healing, Smoothies, and More...Read On!!
Juice recipes for healing is more than just taking a bunch of fruit or vegetables and "juicing it up", and hoping for the best. Yes, it is a little more scientific. The key to this is to focus on the type of health condition you have, then applying known solutions...or, what works best for your condition.
For example, most everyone has suffered from a common cold. Why do we get colds in the first place? Usually, it's because we have been exposed to a bacteria, or cold virus, and our body is not able to defend itself, due to a weak immune system. The reaction our body takes to fight off the invasion produces the various symptoms we suffer from. Most people head for the drug store and buy a variety of cold products designed to reduce our suffering... ...but these products are not designed to help us fight off the root cause, they merely mask the symptoms. You can do yourself a big favor simply by taking a natural approach to all of this. First, by making sure your diet includes lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, you will help build your immune system, and possibly prevent even getting any colds. Second, if you do get a cold, you can reduce the severity by promoting body cleaning, sweating and elimination. Again, by consuming fruits and vegetables, this will help. But that is easier said than done, we all know how hard it is to eat when you are sick. That's why fruit juicing and vegetable juicing, and making smoothies are really the ticket. They are easy to prep, and consume. So, where do you start, how do you find all these healthy juice recipes? Your going to need to consider buying this inexpensive book, that will really guide you in the right direction.
You will find juice recipes for healing, vegetable juice recipes, and fruit juice recipes.
The author, Pat Crocker has assembled a lifetime of knowledge in her book "The Smoothies Bible" and her sister book, "The Juicing Bible".Aside from all the great smoothie and juicing recipes, Pat covers a multitude of common health conditions, which foods to eat, which ones to avoid, and most importantly, why you would want to. Here is some icing on the cake...Pat lists common household ingredients, like cinnamon for example, and discusses how cinnamon has healing properties, and how to use cinnamon in smoothies and juices. Her book is full of examples like this...it's a wonderful reference! This book can be had for under 20 bucks, and I consider a must have in the kitchen.
