We added this next category, Green Smoothies with the fruit smoothies. Why? Because most green smoothies are a fruit smoothie with a leafy green added.

We will throw in a couple of vegetable recipes as well. A vegetable smoothie would be one without fruit.

Yes, the idea of a green smoothie does not sound too appetizing. But, once you try one, you are really going to be surprised at how good they are...

...And the added nutrients makes the green smoothie the ultimate booster juice!

There is so much nutritional information available on the Web, or in book form, it really is hard to know where to turn.

One of our favorites is the book called "Super Foods". (Click on the link for more information.) This book is well researched. It is easy to understand, and you can glean a lot of useful nutritional information quickly.

For a techie type person, the book also covers the science of nutrition. You will find yourself wanting to read it all, and adding the various super foods to your daily diet, not to mention adding them to your smoothies!

It is a must have for your kitchen library.

Bottom line? Use common sense...most people I know have some basic food knowledge...they know whats good for you and what is not.

Enjoy!
