Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. No doubt you have heard this. For many, there is no time to eat in the morning, let alone try and eat a balance of fruit, vegetables, and protein!

And there are those that just can't stomach a large meal at this time of the morning. But eating something in the morning is the way to jump start your metabolism, and get your furnace burning.

A typical breakfast smoothie is going to have some fruit like bananas, apple, pineapple, then maybe a carrot, or spinach, and a protein source such as milk, yogurt, soy, or tofu. Add some liquid, ice and blend.

The breakfast smoothie is filled with vitamins, essential nutrients, and minerals. It is also low in calories and contains important fiber.

This is the type of meal replacement will satisfy hunger. That is important. The problem with most diets, is you are always hungry.

Why does this happen?

Typical breakfast fare is high is sugar, and processed flours (quick burning carbs as in cereal). You end up spiking your energy, then it burns out. Your hungry again so you snack.

Because of the whole foods found in smoothies, you will not experience the highs and lows found in convenience foods. You will tend to feel fuller for longer periods of time, and your body will absorb the nutrients on a more balanced level.

You can use smoothies as a meal replacement for every meal, should you choose. But don't overdo it. Too much of a good thing and you will get burned out on smoothies.

You will notice a subtle change as you drink smoothies. As you body gets use to the change in diet and food, and you begin to feel better, you will start to crave or anticipate your next smoothie.

I guess you could say you're turning in a smoothie junkie of sorts...but that's not necessarily a bad thing!

A couple of ideas for you to consider:

1) According to medical experts, there is a right way and a wrong way to lose weight. The wrong way is to starve yourself.

Starving yourself leads to rapid weight loss of muscle tissue, bone mass, and water dehydration.

You must target and burn fat for weight loss plans to work. To do this, you will want to look hard at the types of food you are eating now. High saturated fats, lots of sugar, refined, or processed foods need to go bye bye.

2) For Healthy Weight Loss to occur, you will need to burn more calories than you take in. increase metabolism By controlling the types of calories you take in through weight loss smoothies, you will be eating better nutrition, not getting as hungry, and hopefully eating fewer calories.

3)You have include some type exercise program...And generally, it will involve some type of weights and cardio exercise.

That being said and because everyone is different, you just can't apply the same solution to every problem. Before you begin any program, it's best that you consult with your local health practitioner for additional guidelines that fit your needs.
