Yogurt Substitute

by Jake
(Salem, OR)

A lot of your recipes have 'yogurt' in the ingredients. Do you use a particular type/flavor/brand? I like greek yogurt because it's high in protein, have you tried using it? Thanks and I love the site!!

Hi Jake,

The brand I use a lot is Nancy's, it is local, natural, and we use the low fat version. Either plain or vanilla works, generally, we don't add a sweetener because the fruit and juice we add is already sweet.

I have not used Greek, but just bought some today to try out, yes I was amazed at how much protein it has and how smooth the texture is, should be great in a smoothie!
